I wanted to alert everyone to an awesome new blog the San Antonio Public Library's Texana/Genealogy Department has just started. It's still a little bare, but stay tuned for great, little-known stories about San Antonio's past from the vault of the Texana Department.
The goal of the blog is not to just post San Antonio historical facts, but to elicit replies from the public, so that the Texana collection may grow through individuals sharing their personal stories about San Antonio's history. This idea is similar to Story Corps, the oral history-collecting project that travels the country.
Though there's not much there yet, follow the Texana blog for your chance to add your own stories to the collection.
